RECORD GIFT FOR COGNITIVE TREATMENT  [ back to What's New ]
On 1/17/01 Bill Coleman, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur who has a niece with mental retardation, pledged a donation of $250 million to the University of Colorado to fund a state of the art program for research into technological advances for people with cognitive disabilities. This is the largest ever one time donation from a private source to a public university. Mr Coleman and his wife Claudia are to be thanked for their tremendous generosity. The research should one day bear fruit for all persons with cognitive disabilities, including those with TBI.
