TBI PLANNING GRANT [ back
to What's New ]
In July 1996 the federal government enacted the Traumatic
Brain Injury Act (Public Law 104-166). A purpose of the law
was to issue grants of money to the states for "planning"
and "implementation" of core infrastructure to provide
services for state residents with a brain injury. California
just obtained a "planning" grant for the year 2000.
It will hold 11 focus groups around the state plus 4 large
scale public forums. To attend or submit your own suggestions
as to how the grant money should be spent, please contact
